Vision Boards, Treasure Maps, Mind Mapping
Every New Years Eve our family creates treasure maps. We gather and I allow myself to be comfortable with the mess for a period of two to four days depending on how long we as a family are together. This is such a wonderful process and any age can participate. We had our granddaughter do her first one before she was two.
As I look back on my treasure map I am amazed at how many of my goals were accomplished. I believe the reason for those successes was consistently having this board in front of me. I had it as a screen saver; under acrylic on my desk and also in smaller sections in my day planner. Although I didn’t consciously look at it daily, unconsciously my brain was always scanning and registering. Tony Robbins always says what you focus on you can achieve. I have kept all of my vision boards just to look back and see how powerful my brain and intent really was and continues to be a huge part of my success.
I will continue the annual treasure mapping with my family and now I create one for my computer through http://www.visualizeyourgoals.com/cgi-bin/t.cgi?a=478237. I had such fun creating this one because I didn’t need to be creative. The selection of pictures; words and affirmations made creating this so much fun. Music and your own pictures can also be downloaded and I am thrilled with the results so much that I changed my screen saver to come on every ten minutes. Until Next Time,
